The Village of Ellenville is located at the base of the Shawangunk Ridge to the east and the Catskill Mountains to the west. Located within the town of Wawarsing, Ellenville is approximately ninety miles northwest of New York City and ninety miles southwest of Albany. The village is located at the junction of Routes NY 52 and US 209 and is bisected by the recently designated Shawangunk Scenic Byway. It is a village that is rich in history and was once a port on the former Delaware & Hudson Canal.
