High Falls is a hamlet in the Town of Marbletown. When you enter High Falls you get a definite sense you’ve arrive somewhere. It has a quaint historic quality that immediately hits home. Named for the large Rondout Creek waterfall that is located within the hamlet, High Falls has fine shopping and fun eateries. For recreation one can kayak and fish the Rondout Creek or hike and mountain bike in the directly adjacent Mohonk Preserve. High Falls is also home to the historic Five Locks Walk and the D & H Canal Historical Society and Museum. High Falls is just a hop skip and a jump from Stone Ridge and Rosendale where you can find a movie, historic districts, more restaurants, shopping and art.
